OUR COFFEE
It’s when we pour a coffee that we’re transported to its history. The secret behind our coffee’s unique flavour can be discovered by journeying back to its origins. This journey starts on our plantations and in the careful selection and harvesting of the coffee beans at just the right time. We use the best that nature provides and, following the natural process, we help preserve and care for the soils, respect the ecosystem, the distance between the plants and the shading systems. Because perfect coffee only exists when we follow the path of sustainability.
OUR CAPSULES
Our capsules are made of aluminium to protect the coffee from humidity and light, preserving all the flavour and aroma of the BOLD range of blends. Aluminium capsules can also sustain the high pressure required to make a perfect espresso, ensuring a unique and unmistakable flavour.
OUR COMMITMENT
BOLD coffee bears the Rainforest Alliance certification seal which ensures that the coffee we use comes from producers certified by the Rainforest Alliance and that the production locations are considered the best and safest to live and work. The Rainforest Alliance provides training to farmers in matters relating to child labour while promoting gender equality and non-discrimination, ensuring that they earn a decent wage for their work.
Plantations certified by the Rainforest Alliance are better for the planet and more sustainable long-term. This is because certified producers protect natural resources and the environment, using land, water and energy in a sustainable manner.
Certified farmers use less artificial fertilizers and pesticides, avoiding pollution and employing better waste management. They also learn how to preserve forest and protected areas, which in turn sustain wild life and plants. Farmers and agricultural workers are also trained to use smart farming methods with regard to the climate and to adapt farming techniques to climate change.
